Over the winter break of 2019-2020 Disability Resources moved from the modular building located in the Student Services at White Creek complex to the new Student Services Building (SSB) on main campus. The building is located between Rudder Plaza and the Coke Building, adjacent to Simpson Drill Field and Military Walk.
OFFICES & SPACES
Main Office – Suite 122
Suite 122 is the main administrative office which houses the Access Coordinators, alternative format production, equipment sign-out and other administrative staff/functions. Please check in for appointments in this location.
Testing Center – Suite 111
Suite 111 houses the Testing Center which includes:
- Four (4) group testing rooms with individual cubicles for seating. One of the group rooms will be used primarily for computer-based exams.
- Fifteen (15) individual exam rooms for students that use equipment, readers, scribes, etc.
- Lockers to store and secure your belongings while taking an exam.
- NOTE: the TC staff will no longer be collecting phones – phones should be silenced and stored in a locker when checking in.
Student Lounge/Study Space/Meeting Room – Room 109
Room 109, across from the Testing Center, is a student lounge/study space and may be used for meetings by student organizations affiliated with Disability Resources or focused on disability initiatives.
SSB Open House & Tours
On Wednesday, January 22, 2020 the Student Services Building held an Open House for the campus community. Community members were able to tour through the building between 2:00-4:30pm.
Current students affiliated with Disability Resources were encouraged to come by to see the new Testing Center and other spaces during the first few weeks of classes. Once exam administration began, access to tour the Testing Center spaces will be limited so as not to disturb any students taking exams.
