Jessica Harp
Assistant Director
Jessica Harp is the Assistant Director for Communication Access Services, a role in which she assesses communication access needs and coordinates interpreting and transcription services for academic-related activities for students with hearing loss. Jessica has worked in Disability Resources since 2014 and joined the Texas A&M team in 2019. She holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Texas A&M University Mays Business School and has been a certified ASL-English Interpreter since 2005, currently holding Advanced Certification from Texas Health and Human Services Office of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Board for Evaluation of Interpreters. Jessica serves as a member of Disability Resources’ leadership team and primarily works with the School of Architecture, Bush School of Government & Public Service, Higher Education Center at McAllen, Engineering at Galveston, Engineering Academies, and Blinn TEAM students. Jessica works with students, faculty and staff to achieve equitable access to the Aggie experience for disabled students and works to educate the campus community on its shared responsibility for accessibility and inclusion. She has served on the advisory board for the Tarrant County College Sign Language Interpreting Program and the board for the Texas Society of Interpreters for the Deaf, currently in the role of President.
