Spectrum in Aggieland

2026 Autism Acceptance Month

April is Autism Acceptance Month – a month to promote education and awareness of autism while also honoring and understanding the lived experiences of autistic individuals. Previously known as Autism Awareness Month, the shift began in 2011 when the Autistic Self Advocacy Network began referring to April as Autism Acceptance Month to better reflect the autism community’s values. This change became official in 2021, emphasizing the importance of inclusion, respect, and support, not just awareness.

Please join Spectrum in Aggieland and Disability Resources as we celebrate this April!
