More Details about Flex Plan
Based on survey data from over 1,400 instructors during Summer 2024, 37% of faculty members said managing accommodations involving disability-related absences was challenging because of limited communication, difficulty managing expectations, and issues when students experienced a higher-than-anticipated number of absences.
Flex Plan streamlines discussions on supporting the impact of disability-related absences in your course for all students through a short questionnaire about common course policies and activities. Because the questionnaire relates to flexibility of the course and not individual student barriers, this plan then applies to all students with this accommodation.
