Evaluators
The following information is intended to be a general reference of local resources that may be helpful to individuals with disabilities. It is not an endorsement or recommendation by the Department of Disability Services or Texas A&M University.

Prior to receiving disability-related accommodations and services, students must provide current and comprehensive documentation of a diagnosed disability which requires accommodation.  For a diagnosis of Learning Disability, ADD or ADHD, a neuropsychological examination or psychoeducational evaluation is required to determine eligibility for services as a student with a disability.

The following is a list of some evaluators in the Bryan/College Station area that specialize in these types of disabilities that may require updated or a new comprehensive evaluation.

Current students that have not yet been formally diagnosed with a learning disability or ADHD, may want to first set-up an appointment at the Student Counseling Service to have an intake meeting and a possible academic skills screening done prior contacting an evaluator for a formal assessment for a learning disability, ADD or ADHD.  The screening service at the Student Counseling Service is free to currently registered Texas A&M students.
