Butler Building (Agronomy Building)

Building Number: 465

Map Quadrant: F-6

Accessible Parking: The nearest accessible parking is in PA 6. There are (9) spaces at the North side of the parking lot. The curb ramp is located behind and in front of the spaces.

Exterior Signage: There are no signs indicating the route to the nearest accessible entrance. Also, the signage at the accessible entrance does not display the International Symbol of Accessibility. ***Building is being renovated in fall of 2005.***

Curb Cuts: See parking.

Ramps: There is a ramp on the South side of the building, adjacent to the South entrance. No barriers were identified here.

Exterior Entrances: There are no signs indicating the route to the nearest accessible entrance. Also, the signage at the accessible entrance does not display the International Symbol of Accessibility. ***Building is being renovated in fall of 2005.***

Interior Signage: Letters and numerals are not raised above the surface and no Braille is provided. Mounting height is not ADA accessible. The signs are not mounted on the latch side of the door. ***Building is being renovated in fall of 2005.***

Restrooms: There is a woman’s room on first floor that is designated accessible, however there is not an accessible men’s room. Only some conditions here are acceptable by ADA. ***Building is being renovated in fall of 2005.***

Fountains: There are fountains in this building, however they are not accessible to those who use wheelchairs or to those with difficulty bending or stooping. ***Building is being renovated in fall of 2005.***

Elevators: There are elevators in this building, however the elevator does not incorporate an audible signal which sounds once for ‘up’ and twice for ‘down.’ Raised characters and Braille designations are not provided on both jambs. The depth of the cab is less than 51 inches. Also, the doors do not remain fully open for at least 3 seconds. ***Building is being renovated in fall of 2005.***
