Accessible Parking: The nearest accessible parking is in PA 70. There are (2) spaces on the NE corner of the parking lot. Curb ramps are located between the spaces. There are no ‘van accessible’ spaces provided.
Exterior Signage: There are no signs indicating the route to the nearest accessible entrance. Also, the signage at the accessible entrance does not display the International Symbol of Accessibility.
Curb Cuts: There is (1) curb cut located at the access aisle, near the accessible parking. The sides of the curb ramp are steep and the transition from ramp to walk is bumpy.
Ramps: There is (1) ramp located on the second floor. It is steep and does not have edge protection at the drop-off.
Exterior Entrances: There are (2) accessible entrances to this building, however problems do exist. (1) At the main entrance on the South side of the building, the space between the two hinged doors is less than 48 inches. Also, the clear width of the doorway is less than 32 inches. (2) At the West entrance, the height of the operating hardware exceeds 48 inches.
Interior Signage: Letters and numerals are not raised above the surface and no Braille is provided.
Restrooms: There are restrooms in this building that are designated accessible. They are Rooms 105 and 106. However, only some conditions here are acceptable by ADA standards..
Fountains: There are fountains in this building that are designated accessible for those individuals who use wheelchairs, however none are provided for those who have difficulty bending or stooping.
Elevators: There is an elevator in this building, however it does not incorporate an audible signal which sounds once for ‘up’ and twice for ‘down.’ Raised characters and Braille designations are not provided on both jambs. Also, the emergency communication system is not designated in Braille and requires voice communication.
